During the blessed month of Ramadan, Al-Khair Foundation carried out numerous charitable activities in the Gaza Strip, including the distribution of food parcels, shopping vouchers, Zakat al-Mal, vegetable baskets, meal distributions, family sponsorships, Eid clothing, and more.
Al-Khair provided food parcels to more than 5,500 impoverished families in the Gaza Strip and contributed to the iftar of 100,000 people through its Iftar for the Fasting project.
The foundation also worked daily on distributing cash assistance from charity and Zakat al-Mal, reaching 1,500 families, in addition to distributing sacrificial meat to 1,000 families.
Furthermore, Al-Khair provided shopping vouchers to more than 1,000 vulnerable families and helped relieve the debts of 300 indebted individuals.
On another front, at the conclusion of Ramadan, Al-Khair succeeded in bringing smiles to the faces of 1,000 orphaned children in the Gaza Strip through the “Eid Clothing” project.
For patients from poor families, Al-Khair covered the costs of 40 surgical operations for patients in the Gaza Strip.
As part of its plan to rehabilitate places of worship, Al-Khair implemented the Safe Lighting project for 5 mosques during Ramadan, in addition to establishing 4 water desalination stations, reflecting its commitment to water sanitation projects in marginalized areas of the Gaza Strip.
Despite the global crisis caused by the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic, Al-Khair continues to provide humanitarian assistance to families in need across 66 countries, while adhering to necessary safety and sanitation measures and preserving the dignity of beneficiaries.
